My family passed thru the ‘Land of Oz’ several years ago. It’s good to see that Oz is still around to be enjoyed. My daughter, Bethany, was 4 at the time and ‘Dorothy’ was kind enough to take Bethany on a tour of Oz. We enjoyed it so much that we returned and took part in the OzFest the following year. At that time, Bethany, Laurie (my wife) and I attended a meeting with four munchkins and the grand son of L. Frank Baum. Later on the weekend, a tea was held by ‘Glenda – the good witch’, (Neice of Billie Burke) entertained children by reading a shot story. Dorothy’s House was host to a dinner held at the Mid-American Air Museum. Airplane buffs will enjoy viewing may unique planes on display. Two great places to visit when passing near Liberal, Ks. And, you will not ‘dent’ your pocketbook. Thanks to the volunteers at the gift shop for a terrific trip to Dorothy’s HOuse and the “Land of Oz’.
